GMTK 2020 - Auto Admiral

Posted 12/7/2020

The theme this year was "Out of Control". I was inspired by old turn based combat games like Third Age and Final Fantasy where you choose the move and who to attack but instead removed the choice of moves and instead put them on cool downs and made it so you drag to select a target, I had planned for ship buying and upgrading which is still present in the source code, but due to time constraints I was forced to have a selection of 6 ship available at the stat you can choose from with these menus using the same click and drag to choose the ships as the main gameplay, I have since toyed around with adding a more detailed progression but have yet to fully implement it

GMTK 2019 - Tic Tac Toe Evolution

Posted 4/8/2019

The theme for this game jam was "Only One" and due to time constraints I was not able to dedicate a whole weekend to work on it so I decided to remake the simple game of tic-tac-toe with a twist, once you complete the board the game zooms out, revealing more of the board, which requires you to win more and more smaller games to ultimately win the larger one, which will then turn into a bigger one in a never ending game.

GMTK 2018 - Eskihome

Posted 2/9/2018

This Game Jam was the first I ever took part in and the theme was "Genre Without Mechanic", this meant you had to choose a well know genre and remove at least one mechanic, I decided to do a turn based strategy game without any enemies, turning it into a sort of puzzle game, where you need to move your Eskimos to the patches, but the world changes after every move, it also incorporated a mechanic where if you Eskimo is in a space which turns solid it is sent back to it's spawn unless another Eskimo is standing on it, in which case it is sent to the other's spawn, this allows slow Eskimos to be warped to other places it might not usually reach.
